Look, don't get down on Plaid and Mira Calix. The intricacies of concert promotion and cost forced us to strip down the tour. Plaid, Mira, the tour manager, Warp and the booking agent (Billions) jumped through rings of fire to continue the tour without Tom SP's participation and at great expense. It's near impossible to re-tool a tour in a financially sound way on twenty four hours' notice. Everyone really did what we could and then some... But never fear, there are plans under way that will makeup the shows that were missed in the first few months of the new year. Nothing confirmable yet... this would be Plaid, so Squarepusher fans don't get your hopes up. At least you've got that new untitled 12" coming soon. And may I use this opportunity to pre-empt any complaints about North America lagging behind in the release of the new Squarepusher 12" and DJ Maxximus/Something J CD-5/12". The UK rush-released those to get them out before Xmas with the full knowledge that our NA distributors couldn't do them until January (distribution of sales books and store pre-orders move much slower over here). It basically the difference of trying to get your records in stores to just California vs. all of North America. Remember, if you can't wait for the official US release, there's always Warpmart. I promise the US's feeling won't get hurt because it all ends up in the same kitty somehow. class dismissed, David Lee Roth +++++ ===== Kris Gillespie Warp Records 503 8th Avenue -- 4th Floor Brooklyn, NY 11215 kris@warprecords.com 718-788-1823 (p) 718-788-7619 (f) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
