yeah I'm probably way late on this cause I haven't been able to afford music for awhile but am I soundboy by cex is fucking brilliant. This kid is 19?! It's like the next logical step from the Richard D James album. Most of the other shit I heard by him is way less cohesive. What's a good Cex album to start out with? reply off list if you wish. thanks

If you really want to get into the heart of the Cex sound, I suggest the following releases: "I am a Cocksmoking Flailabout" EP (CD, vinyl) "IDEminem" EP (vinyl) "Calvin Klein Bottle" EP (3 inch CD) "My Glasses Are Foggy" LP (Radio Shack C-120, limited edition 12 copies) "Still Not Getting Laid" EP (8-track, reel-to-reel) "Ode to HotOrNot.com" single (square flexi-vinyl on specially marked boxes of Cap'n Crunch cereal" "People Who Post About Cex to the IDM-L are All a Bunch of Playa Hataz, Especially That Chisa Fuckhead" 4xLP (Edison cylinder) I believe all are still avaiable on Tigherbeat6. Warpmart, strangely, refuses to carry them. m@2zo www.thechisa.com On Wed, 8 Aug 2001, Emile L'Eplattenier wrote:

someone has some issues to work out. anyways, even if you're not into Cex's image, his first album "Role Model" is pretty good. His only other album, Starship Galactica, isn't really an album; it's pretty short. But it's good too. The couple of "humour" sketches aren't my thing, but the music's hot. -adam

Well, Role Model isn't his first. He also put out the Cells cdr about a year and a half before. I would have to say that Role Model is definatley a big progression from Cells, though.
