This is likely to already be common knowledge, but I just discovered where Aphex got "Alberto Basalm" from. I was taking a shower at a friends house only to discover a bottle of shampoo labeled with the great song's name. (Clue: he's an asthmatic...) Ahhhh yes, a heavily advertised brand of shampoo in the UK in the 80s had all sorts of soft-focus flaxen haired beauties wandering through fields of sunflowers and whatnots... probably formed RDJs earliest erotic memories, oh wait er em.. they were someone else's... -i --- Future Relic <futurerelic@hotmail.com> wrote:

You think thats bad... I only worked out where Douglas Adams got the name Hotblack Desiato for the lead singer of that band (Disaster Area) who were the loudest in the universe (and had to play remotely from a spaceship)...this is all from The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (or was it the Restaurant at the End of the Universe???)... Basically, its the name of a chain of estate agents in London... I was wondering, 'cause I kept passing the signs outside peoples houses for the last 6 months, thinking: "I know that name from somewhere...." - did a search yesterday on the net, and 'lo and behold...
