Subtle grooves for girls and boys? Cold psychedelic?
Well, Bass and BBQ has plenty of DJs that will rock the party. And there's
food if you get there early. Vegetarian and non, so no matter what, you get
fed. You do have to pay like a $5 cover, but all's fair. $8 if you're 18-21.
Doors are at 8.
So, Fluoroscopic Kid is playing. If the schedule stays the same, he's
headlining upstairs at the Sand Bar at 1am.
I'd try to describe what FK does, but every show seems to be markedly
different from the previous. It's not quite acid funk... it's probably not
quite like many things you've heard before.
Basically, if you like things like Squarepusher, mu-ziq, Pan Sonic, Pole,
Arovane, etc... you'll probably be interested to hear yourself some
Fluoroscopic Kid. It's sometimes called IDM, but please don't ask what that
stands for. I'd rather not argue.
So take a little trip by the Sand Bar on July 28th. Check out Fluoroscopic
Kid and all the DJ kids and get your groove on, and check out some music
that ain't quite your normal rave rockin party house. Support something
different!

Bass and BBQ was designed to allow ppl. in the DFW area to organize and
gather together for a common goal....to hear great music, be around great
people and to help promote an atmosphere and attitude that keeps our scene
alive!!! The B&BBQ has been held about once every other month in D-Town
Dallas since mid 98' bringing the best of Texas talent including such genres
of music as house, jungle, trance, and goa plus much more. Anyone in the DFW
area may join and volunteer. This litterally is a party by the people and
