From the Tinocorp site: Area 51 in San Francisco presents LIVE: MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO and D.H.S. In the beginning there was Jack Dangers. His unique industrial tek-noise & breakbeat sound was the catalyst for Techno and many other beats to follow. This EXCLUSIVE performance is his first in 3 years and will not appear in any other city This 12 hour interplanetary gathering will also feature six massive themed dance areas full of inter galactic artwork, over 50 world class djs, producers, and mc's, and the most amazing interactive production to ever be experienced at an event of this nature. All those 18+ are welcome. For all the up to date event info: www.universalunity.com www.thump-radio.com/area51 Undoubtedly there'll be plenty of P.L.U.R. The flyer is actually a 48 page booklet, mostly detailing the following exciting events: (my cynical jaded raver interpretation in parentheses) The Alien Landing Zone: (the carpark) Otherworld portal: (the entrance to the event) Hyperspace Land: (the hallway to the dancefloor where money, water, and all your personal posessions are "hyperspaced" from your person by security guards) Lost in Space Land : (Slightly further from the entrance & security where wobblied up e-gobbling kids waver on the border of collapse from dehydration after their eight pill that day) Alien Bazaar: (Where event promoters sell you $5 lidless bottles of water) etc etc etc -i --- "activity@activaire" <activity@activaire.com> wrote:

Is DHS (who blew me away at the ae show in Oakland) actually going to be there, or is it just MBM? Lee "The last days of his sight he spent simply gazing at her." If it's just MBM, should I check it out anyhow?+

My fondest memory of an area 51 party was being quizzed by a cop in Oakland at 3am while I was full of cheap speedy E, and explaining that I was walking around there at that hour because the rave was too crap to stay another minute. She didn't buy it, but her partner did and told her to leave me alone when he arrived with sirens blaring, thinking he was going to have to confront some agressive maniac instead of a cheesed-off hippy. Actually they are OK parties as far as they go, but there are loads of 20 year olds on E, the venue is huge but anonymous, and the sound system is usually too loud for my taste. It's an expensive night out unless you really want to wallow in sub bass. On the other hand, if you've never been to such a party you should definitely attend one or two 'massives'. They have their moments. Anig Browl _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
