My assumption is that most American IDM-listeners -- a redundant term? :) -- are on the coastal states. Am I probably wrong? I donno, just wanted to get an idea of the climate here. Very wrong... IDM has large followings in Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Detroit and Ohio. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that there is a bigger midwest following than there is coastal following. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@my2way.com http://www.atomly.com/ | 877.741.3571 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I found a population density map of IDM-listeners! ftp://ftpserver.ciesin.org/pub/data/Grid_Pop_World/total_cov/gif/usdenssmoo.gif The scale of the legend on the right side of the map is "Number of IDM cds bought yearly" At 02:57 PM 7/9/2001 -0700, you wrote: My assumption is that most American IDM-listeners -- a redundant term? :) -- are on the coastal states. As a very general statement, people in bigger cities have much more exposure to different types of *things*. This included IDM, i would assume. therefore, where bigger cities are, and more people, you are more likely to find some sort of "idm" or people who listen to it. it just so happens that a lot of people live on the coasts, and uhh... it's hot.. so they go out.. and uhh.. dance.. and sometimes dance to idm, so... that explains it. err.. cheers, /derek At 02:57 PM 7/9/2001 -0700, you wrote:

Ha -- I'll be sure to use this in my research project, nothing like a little hard data... John
