Gosh. Contrary to everything I said about the Nike ad, VW beetles and
Autechre are a cool combination. Which tune, do you know? I don't think that
ad is playing in the UK, or at least I haven't seen it.

Yes, this *is* hopelessly off-topic, but it's funny :-)

No way dude. DeLoreans always make me think of 80's proto-trance, like the
theme from Knight Rider. You have to be on some sort of mission to drive a
car like that and make it look good :-)

I like those green ones. As I've never learned to drive I have not been in
one, but they are kind of tempting me to take to the road.
Have you seen those european super-compact Mercedes? They are designed for
just two people, they look like a 'people carrier' with 2/3 of the body
missing. There's a lot of them in Amsterdam, where space is at a premium.
There's also some weird old cars popular in the UK, like the Reliant Robin
and the Trabant, both of which have 3 wheels. They are pretty lo-fi though.
Those coloured imacs are totally IDM as well, even though I have always used
a PC. For years I went round telling people that computers should look like
furniture or hi-fis and they all laughed at me. Well, I'm laughing now! Oh
wait, I don't have any shares in Apple. Guess I'm just smiling ironically
then.
