Yea i have to totally agree with lance on e*vax, really nice melodic goodies. some fresh beats thrown in for good measure to. I didnt care to much for the new 7", the art fucking rules, but I was disappointed on the music, just seemed kinda flat and preprogrammed, compared to the mastery of parking lot music or the two excellent 7s on static. I got my stiff little fingers crossed that the split with bf will kill me. If you have not heard e*vax you owe it to your self to at least go play his flash pong game on audiodregs. plus e*vax and his brother e*rock are super nice guys. oh yea, if anyone gets a chance you should check out warmdesk. _____________----______--_______________________ scott_allison multimedia_designer mediacentric_group -------------11111————-____————— ++++++ ]]]]]]]]]]]]]]] .........................!!!!!!!!!!!!! 00000 ____^^^^^^^^^^ ---------- /////////************************ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Anyone else on this list think arovane is the weakest, most overated act currently being mentioned? Considering that some people have spoke out against BoC as being weak, when most people think they're sublimed, I'm surprised no one has spoken out against arovane. I concede that the music is well produced and not unpleasant and I've got nothing against people who like arovane, I mean more power to you if you can get into it I guess, but personally, I'd rather listen to Autechre brush their teeth. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

yeah i agree with scott that this recent 7" isnt as good as the album or the two previous evax 7"s on audio dregs and static caravan. i also share scott's eagerness to get the e*vax/b.fleischmann split. both artists are perennial favorites of mine. and speaking of b.fleischmann, i just got a copy of the new Bip Hop Vol 2 compilation and mr fleischmann has several tracks on it. on first listen, his tracks on here have a much darker feel, almost unsettling feel to them. But i'll give it some more eartime and comment on the release as a whole later this evening. also on Bip Hop Vol 2 are several tracks from, ironically enough, Warmdesk.

Boy doesnt this message tie together well. Almost like the 13 degrees of idm... anyway, yes i agree with scott about warmdesk. I actually received a demo cassette from Warmdesk three or four years ago and have been a fan ever since. he does a great job of combining warmth, glitch, and melody. He actually released a limited (250 copies?) lathe-cut split 10" with Pimmon last year on the Aposteriori label. I was lucky enough to find one in bent crayon and they actually had one other copy the last time i was in there. I also got a chance to hear bit's of Warmdesk's forthcoming album for Bip Hop. He also has forthcoming releases on Static Caravan and Fallt. So pay special attention to the Warmdesk tracks on the forthcoming Bip Hop 2 comp to get a taste of what's to come from Warmdesk. For more info on Warmdesk as well as a live mp3 freebie, check his website at: http://www.aposteriori.org/ -- -->-Lance---- PO Box 450715 Westlake, OH 44145 United States --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
