after seeing alex reynolds post trying to think up what the new autechre titles might infer, i got a little idea. it's a bit silly, and a bit selfish, so most people prolly won't pay attention to it. but i'll try it anyway. i'll post the songtitles for my album "cina" and i want you to give a short (or not-so-short) description of what you think the song might sound like. seeing as how none of you have prolly heard my stuff (except the mentioned alex reynolds), it could be interesting. ecux - cina 01. cassiopeia 02. luthm 03. alctyhl 04. ilp 05. laevo 06. oe 07. nya 08. cords 09. cina just give an idea of what you hear musically when you read the words, consider it a scientific experiment. i'll even give out preliminary cd-rs of the album to anyone who would like a copy. later :jason (ecux)

No offence or anything, but all of these song titles make me think of Autechre. It looks like the listing of a new ae lp:

See what I mean? My immediate response is "This album will sound like Tri-Repetae/Anvil Vapre." I'm not trying to cut you down by any means.. just being honest. i was waiting for the "it looks like Autechre". took longer than i expected. well i guess i'll attempt to explain why the titles do look like they do.... i've collected words (kept a list) i've seen that looked interesting for about 6 years, since before i started listening to autechre. that's where words like "cassiopeia" come from. i've written poetry for as long, and have often used titles for my poems that were seemingly unrelated/oddly correlated to the subject, so you can say i have an interest in the relation of the title and the object. Autechre have influenced this, as have H.R. Giger, e. e. cummings, Tool, and various other things. Tri Repetae it doesn't sound like. and thanks for the honesty. :jason (ecux)
