re: the mail below - i'd say you've got it on the money, anyone that was into his "big soup" album will most likely dig this one. lots of cheeky samples and low-slung funk. nice to see someone that doesn't take himself *quite* so seriously and can have a bit of fun with it, as opposed to the scowling-arms-crossed-puffa-jacket-trainspotting massiv out there... release date for the album in n. america - april 3, or close to it. single called "receiver" to drop also, with a couple tracks that aren't on the album. one is a big chomping sub-bass acid squelching monster that's quite frankly mad :) tour for n. america - dates are still being nailed down, but it'll probably be around may/june. jeff from ninja or myself will prolly post to the list once it's all finalized. all for now - brock p. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Mar 2001 16:16:03 -0800 (PST) To: idm@hyperreal.org From: Chispas De Muerte <generentropy@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: [idm] Musipal Message-ID: <20010307001603.25214.qmail@web4006.mail.yahoo.com> the three tracks I managed to squeeze off of napster were amazing, I wasnt sure if it was a forthcoming album or just some wierd hard to find ep or something. I'm glad he's back into his wierd groove and isn't doing any more tiki-torch candlelight disco-lounge porn music. It sounds similar to big soup in a way. Do you have any idea on a release date or tour info? anyone? ===== Brock Phillips Motormouthmedia 2525 Hyperion Ave. #1 Los Angeles, CA 90027 fon 323.662.3865 fax 323.662.3844 email bmotor@pacbell.net __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Errr... actually, "Receiver" has been out in the U.S. since Feb. 20, and the album saw its release yesterday. For those of you in the Denver area, Twist & Shout is selling the new Multicast album for $9.99. Go pick one up at that fine price, and support a local artist! -Ryan At 12:42 PM 3/7/2001 -0800, you wrote:
