well, i did ask about tortoise. but hey, concerning tangerine dream.... i know little of them except some soundtracks(pretty lame for the most part) some assorted tracks on virgin ambient comps(neat) and i have stratsophere on vinyl which has cool sounds but cheesy, trance-like arrangements. (this album does contain a bit that dj shadow used on "entroducing", albeit pitched way down). so, what is good by tangerine dream because i always wanted to check them out but have been scared of crap. any ideas? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yep, agree with all of those.

Oh, I dunno... I always thought Rubycon was pretty much Phaedra's equal (gotta love those Mellotron sounds). For some reason I get a big kick out of Exit too. My quality cut-off point is Live Miles. Everything post-Chris Franke stinks to high heaven (all those Korg presets and overblown sax/guitar solos just make me go cold). Except perhaps some of the retro releases, like Soundmill Navigator. -- Mark Stevens http://www.headspin.clara.net/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
