aspen's "music from passing cars" is a slight shift to
the left from previous releases on involve records. this
time around bevan smith incorporates a more instrumental
approach to his subtle ambient electronics with guitar
elements popping around various tunes. looking forward
to the full release of this one as i think it'll receive good
support in an ambient meets electronic meets instrumental
style of laid back grooves.. if you've enjoyed previous aspen
releases, then this one will fit snug next to the others.. it
doesn't necessarily surpass "are you that retail snob?" (which
will be seeing a re-release on surgery records shortly a the
following url: www.surgeryrecords.com.au) but is well worth
to seek as it is aspen production at its finest.
