...Planning to play Mr. Atom Heart's remix of WWJD?. Interested folks can drop by, tune in to the radio station, or listen via the internet. Thought some of you might care. (Recent reworking of contract at work might mean that some of the plethra of WWJD? remixes might make it out in the soon to near future on CD. Hippity.) The Ear Candy Festival in February! Ear Candy Festival Schedule February the 18th 7:00 p.m. $10 at the door Room F110 Fine Arts Building on HFCC Campus 5101 Evergreen Rd. Dearborn MI Tickets are $10 at the door, show starts at 7:00 p.m. schedule is as folows, starting with the headliner first, on down. persona, the delta waves, the rattling wall colective in dutch, laughing gas, and jason j. tar spinning the turntables in between sets. Those of you who listen to WHFR on a regular basis know that we are committed to playing artists/recordings that are not your normal Top 40 offerings. And keeping with that tradition there is almost nothing here at the radio station that strays further from the status quo than the "Brain Ticket Death" show every Thursday nights at 9-11:00 P.M. During this time I play the best in improv, electro-acoustic, sound collages, and just plain noise! Anything from the early experimentations from Iannis Xennakis to the harsh noises of Merzbow and everything in between can be heard at this time. So, it is my pleasure to announce that on February the 18th, 2001 that in cooperation with the radio station we will be presenting the third annual Ear Candy Festival here at the college. The first two were great successes, with live acts including Michigan=92s own basket case (featuring members of Gravitar), Persona, and Little Princess!! This years festival is going to be even bigger as we present several live acts for the public to see, a live broadcast, and even live footage will be videotaped for future viewing. Stay tuned to WHFR for more details and more acts as they are announced, or log on to whfr.hfcc.net. Any artists interested in participating in this event, please contact me at BIPOLAR-OD@prodigy.net Scott Boatright For Directions call 1-313-845-9676 "Brain Ticket Death" Thursdays 9:00-11:00P.M.
