To squelch some negativity, i will start a silly post: Anyone besides me think that the suggested speed of this record is wrong? It sounds SO good at 33, and SO hurried at 45. Perhaps I think that this project is more downbeat than it is. benine _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

You know, I thought the same exact thing, and now play the record exclusively at 33. The 45 speed didn't sound entirely out of line with the note range that herren was working with on Folk Songs, though, IMO. At any rate, whoever buys the forthcoming CD comp of the IA series should know that they'll be missing something very beautiful if it's burned at the faster speed. I'll be interested to hear which way it plays. Same thing goes for Aemic's "Beat" 10". It sounds completely abnormally fast at 45 (which is definitely it's intended speed as it is on the Funkstorung website that fast), but at 33 it sounds too slow. Gotta love those +/-8 pitch controllers. Same thing goes for the first track on Gimmik's 12" on Toytronic. Way too fast at 45. Too slow at 33. The rest of it is fine at 45. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I thought one side was 33 (the side w/ 2 tracks i think), and the other one was 45... Doesn't it say somewhere on there something about the trackspeeds or lenghts? All that information must be useful... np: venetian snares v stuntrock -- - Jeremy /"\ khfsaklhfSPGDooo ascii ribbon campaign \ / 27 is the new 23 against HTML email X / \ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
