What the hell are you all talking about? Kid A is awesome. Your dislike is completely insane. At the very least you have to give props to those boys (When was the last time you saw a live band with a casio and a theremin?!?!)in the sense that they're taking all sorts of things and putting them together cohesively. A drum kit and a guitar don't have midi-syncs, or quantize, and yet they throw them in with live vocals and drum machines etc. This is pretty bomb in my book. cdin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

this is the best part - that somehow other people using a theremin is cool but when radiohead do it the technique becomes some sort of strategy towards hipness that they're employing ... god! think about it, man! or is it that you resent the lack of success that more obscure artists have found when they've employed techniques which, in this instance, have further contributed to radiohead's press coverage and record sales? at any rate you aren't evaluating music and success in any sort of rational way. - jordan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

who the fuck cares anymore?? not only has this issue been discussed at great lengths before (on every fucking mailing list as well) but it happened not too long ago thus, everyone is sick of it. i know that autechre and ep7 pops up ever 6 months or so but kid a should come up every 5 years, not every month. talk about the new alien porno midgets or something... in any case, keep your bickering private. shaun

When did I say I DIDN'T like the album, and I DIDN'T like the performance? I do. My email was in response to what someone said about radiohead using a casio and a theremin. LOTS of people do that, but because Radiohead did it on national TV, people SAW THEM, and they get recognition for it. Don't be such an ass. You're so defensive, lol. <<this is the best part - that somehow other people using a theremin is cool but when radiohead do it the technique becomes some sort of strategy towards hipness that they're employing ... god! think about it, man! >> When did I ever say that Radiohead is not allowed to do it? I think it's great that they were doing that... But once again, you completely missed my point. My point was that people think "wow, i never thought of using a casio and a theremin live, and Radiohead did. They're so cool." When in fact people have been doing it for years, it's just not as visible. god! think about it, man! <<or is it that you resent the lack of success that more obscure artists have found when they've employed techniques which, in this instance, have further contributed to radiohead's press coverage and record sales?>> Nope, not at all. <<at any rate you aren't evaluating music and success in any sort of rational way.
