Andi I personally love his work. pop loops for breakfest is great, as well as a chior for empty beds and the 12" on morr sidone is also well worth the price. The music is really nice, fuck you really cant go wrong here, its loop based sounds like a lot of nord lead sounds, some irritating nosies here and there worked into some sweet melodies (i like the irrating nosies alot) get pop loops for breakfest first, its a warm inviting album that is so listenable. hes got a sound onto itself, i cant really think of any direct comparisons at the moment, lance any ideas? track 11 on pop loops has a hidden cover of torn by natile imbulia, that track is worth the price alone. anyway hope this encourges you to listen, hope you dont hate it. -scott --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i picked up "choir of empty beds" after hearing the b.fleischmann track on the leaf label's "invisible soundtracks" release. i wasn't entirely disappointed, but this album leans much further toward the "cute" side of IDM than I generally prefer. it is not bad and if you are into the morr stuff you will probably enjoy it. it has a few real standout tracks, either way, so it's worth checking out. matt

PS NP: B. Fleischmann's "a choir of empty beds". Quite nice - somewhere between American IDM and Schlammpeitziger/the Sonig label crowd, and miles above the morr music comp... ----------------------------- Yes i agree that this is a great album, but to say its miles above the morr music camp is silly cause he is a big part of the morr camp. this relaese on fuzzy box was done in coporation with morr and another label that i cant spell. morr music has released some exceptional albums, styrofoam, phonem, isan, the acclerea deck 12" the new wunder, manufacture. in my opinion they are definitly up there with cco, toytronic and cottage industries. this is definitly a move away from the 4/4 chain reaction style into more diverse and pop influenced melodic electronic accross the board label wise. if you like B. Fleischmann then please check out e*vax's new album parking lot music, stellar release, i think he puts everything together with just deck and rebirth, fucking amazing if you are into slower melodic stuff www.audiodregs.com. -sorry about the bold type. -scott --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I'm new in the mailing list, so I don't if this was discussed earlier. It's just to say that the first solo release of Fleischmann ("Pop Loops for Breakfast") is one of best records from 1999. And much better than "A choir of empty beds", which is good, but disapointing for me... Cesar PS: Pan Sonic and To Rococo Rot live perfomances in Lisbon last weekend were great!
