VARIOUS ARTISTS: SMAKFULL ELEKTRONIK. LP
After more than a year in the making, our first vinyl record has finally
been pressed and released! The tracks are tasty, hence the name Smakfull
Elektronik as the title is Swedish for tasty electronics.
The music was compiled with two purposes:
1) to give the world an idea of what Saundart is and represents, and
2) to present a wonderful listening experience from both well known and
rather unknown artists...
This is a LP-only release limited to 500 copies worldwide with all tracks
exclusive to this compilation!
Here's the lowdown on the featured artists:
LIST - List has been making music since the early 80ies and was last seen on
the Gnothi Seavton CD compilation on Sound Epicure. His music has been
described as "background music for nature programs" which is spot on...
AROVANE - Famous for his brilliant records on City Centre Offices, Forward,
Awkward Silence, etc, etc. For this compilation Arovane delivers one of his
finest tracks ever, with the delicate touch of his EP's on DIN. Amazing!
PLOD - After their well received album, Pillow Talk (Worm Interface), Plod
keep up the good work with their new track Boyta. As always, they provide a
lovely listening experience. Totally irresistable, just like chocolate chip
cookies!
FRANK AND BILL - Rumoured to have good connections with a UK based label...
Frank and Bill know how to push all the right buttons for you guys begging
for that thick, lush and creamy quality electronica! Enough said.
INKINEN - Inkinen is one of the mighty Trunkfunk Brothers. He knows about
the groove. He also knows how to party: Take one part juice, one part nice
beats and two parts good old jazz... Shake it, do not stir!
PL-4 - Two guys who can perform music 'live' and kick your ass on
Playstation at the same time! Pl-4 take good care of their machines and
enjoy long evening walks, when they're not at home cooking chilled
electronic stews...
FLAWLESS FILIPPO - Journey into wacko electronics and meet mr Flawless
a.k.a. Pandatheo a.k.a. All Spec Kit. He's your guide through the craziest
rides in the theme park of Quirkytronica. You'll have a blast for sure!
BAURI - The man behind Saundart... With a previous 12" on Pitchcadet and
lots of goodies for C.C.O., Neo Ouija and English Muffin coming soon, you
can't go wrong! His track is a cute melodic electroish live recording!
Fresh!
SPINFORM - From the Audionaut mafia comes Spinform, a.k.a. Unai on Eloge and
Raum...Musik, who shows us how the toasty electronic hip hop thang is done.
Nice fuzzy things and plenty of b-lines to go around for everybody!
KOMP - Komp a.k.a. Mokira (Raster/Noton) makes wicked
beats/noise/dub/hiphop. This is the original version of the track Bauri
remixed for his Vena LP on Komplott. Broken beats, guitars and a fucked MC
is all you need...
So there you have it. 10 tracks of epic listening electronics for every
occasion! All of them packed with absolute lushness and we hope you will
enjoy the music and come back for more!
