Oh dear lord. Nurse With Wound, coming up on the IDM list... kind of out of
place i'd say! but it gives me shivers to hear the name mentioned.. such
brilliance! Hum. well, as a self proclaimed Nurse With Wound expert I would
say start with Thunder Perfect Mind, the most chilling, disturbing recording
I've ever heard. EVER. or try the more whimsical yet still disturbing Sylvie
and Babs (absolutely hilarious and mindblowingly crazy/surreal). Sugar Fish
Drink is a pretty good cross-section of NWW varying styles of sound and is
wonderful to hear every time.
But just a warning, dont expect anything from what you're going to hear.
Dont expect it to be like anything else that you've heard before, at least
probably havent coming from the IDM angle. You will not dance when you hear
Nurse With Wound. NWW is for the crazy fucked up kids who like to hurt
themselves (psychologically) while on LSD or other drugs with amazingly well
crafted schizophrenia-inducing music.
I wouldnt use the term 'folk' anywhere near nurse with wound personally..
though the term 'noises' seems to sum it all up. and lets not forget
'genius' either.
Chances are, unless you're on some sort of drug (which makes NWW that much
more fun) you wont realize how amazing it is at first listen, but let it all
sink in and you will not regret it. Tasty.
