Well, the majority of the lineup is confirmed, and it's a good one, so it's time for more of your favorite Sonic Therapy spam. Just remember, it builds character. Yes, it's time for another Sonic Therapy shindig. At the Brickhaus Cafe in Denton, even. I know, we're just full of surprises. Well, ok, maybe the lineup will throw you a curveball. This time around we have: [DARYL] Proem The Browsers Interesting, no? Between them, enough analog gear, synths, and keyboards to take over several small countries. I myself would start with Lichtenstein and Andorra, but I'm weird that way. I'm sure setup and teardown will also be an exciting adventure. Yes, The Browsers will actually play this time, too. International Don Cento has promised us no going to France or touring with any famous (or even semi-famous) rockstars. Who will be in the band? That's part of the fun. Maybe members of Chomsky, One Piece, Stereo Rookie? Show up and find out! Also, you may have noticed we only have 3 bands listed above. I would love to have a 4th (maybe even in keeping with the analog theme) - so if you think you'd like to open the shindig, drop me an email and we'll see what we can see. All the pertinent info: Saturday September 16th Brickhaus Cafe in Denton, TX 219 W Oak 940-566-6690 cost: free with flier (and open mind, as always) webpage: not yet - haven't updated, but watch http://www.sonictherapy.com, as always Party name? Attention: Denton We also hope to (finally) be celebrating the release of the Proem 12" "Certain Kinds of Tragedy" which has been delayed due to financial constraints and playa hatin overly professional employment situations. Or something. The Brickhaus Cafe is an excellent restaurant in Denton. They serve yummy vegetarian-friendly food (friendly means they have veggie selections, but they serve meat too), and also alcohol (which as far as I know is vegetarian). Our show will be all ages. The Brickhaus stands by us and we gladly stand by them. Please show them your support for advancing the local music scene in its various forms. Linkage: http://www.mp3.com/daryl http://www.darylmusic.com http://www.thebrowsers.net Proem is currently developing a website of his own, we will link to it ASAP through http://www.sonictherapy.com - also, you can find specific information about "Certain Kinds of Tragedy" at http://www.sonictherapy.com/str004.html. Exclusive non-record Proem MP3 remix thingymabobber can be found at http://www.sonictherapy.com/audio.html In other news, Proem will be playing in New York in late October, and has been making a few compilation appearances of late. In true IDM incest style, Codec (who remixed Fluoroscopic Kid for us) got remixed by Proem for his new record. There's an Octopus Inc. remix on there too. He's on the same label as Colongib. Colongib did a remix of the new Proem. Are you confused yet? I am. We're also working on getting another Proem show up here earlier in the same week in Dallas. If everything goes well. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, etc. And maybe one in October as well. Keep listening. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
