listening to the eardrum remixes right now for the first time, and wow! this monolake mix is really nice. liked the freeform mix too. he's the perfect guy to remix something like this. can't wait to see who's on volume 2. and for the person talking about artwork and such, pick up some stuff on leaf. sure there's not much to read, but the artwork on everything i have from the label is really good, with these "last light" remixes being no exception. really nice brownish silver cover. the "invisible soundtracks IV" sampler was also really nice (good music on that one, too!). but that brings me to a question. did i miss "invisible soundtracks III"? i have I and II, and then out of nowhere i see IV. checked the leaf website, but there's nothing there yet... one last question: does anyone know how they come up with their crazy cataloging scheme? they've got BAY, REEL, DOCK, TOOL... in front of their cat #s. anyone have any idea about this. just curious. thanks! alan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i agree, they have nice artwork. unique to the artists, as well (some labels seem to have 'label artwork'. listening to faultline's 'closer colder' right now. the music is nice too :)

dunno. i'm waiting for the 'macro 3' CD. i'm a CD person. i know there are two previous CD comps, which was confusing me. if the CDs collect the vinyl 'volumes,' and the last CDs collected previous vinyls... well, i know i have something wrong because it just doesn't work out.

i've been wondering that, too. -adam -- Adam Piontek [http://www.tcinternet.net/users/damek/] ICQ: 3456339 [damek@earthling.net] ... Well, lessee - I always assumed that BAY comes from bay leaf. REEL is used for all the Invisible Soundtracks releases, so it's probably a reference to a reel of film. DOCK may relate to BAY - i.e. the old song "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay"? And TOOL - I'm not sure, but I think the releases they use that one for tend to be records meant to be DJ tools with locked grooves, etc. Greg -- Greg Clow - greg@stainedproductions.com - greg@feedbackmonitor.com concert & event promotions - http://www.stainedproductions.com electronic music radio/reviews/interviews - http://www.feedbackmonitor.com 158 Close Ave. 2nd Floor - Toronto, Ontario M6K 2V5 - Canada --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

More likely dock leaf - the plant type thing that you rub on nettle stings. I'm wondering if the WAP mobile phone has an IDM ring tone. d. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I forget the exact tracklisting for it, but there is a Four Tet track on the 12" _Invisible Sdtrks. 3_ that is not on the cd _Invisible Sdtrk 2_ - it is, however, on the _Classic Plant_cd. I think it has the Max Brennan, B.Low, one of the Warn Defever tracks, and another as well.

_Invisible Sdtrks 1_ (the cd) collected tracks from the two previous 12" versions, plus a few more. _Invisible Sdtrks 2_ (the cd) took tracks from the third 12" installment, plus many more. Just as the 3rd cd volume will do with the 4th 12". Ugh. There had to have been a better way of saying that.
