Lets start off with a few recent releases that have not left my tables.
-Andrew Thomas-So you wanna be a (death) star-CDR-Involve
A very short CD, but fulfilling in that minimal way. I didnt
think any of the tracks stood out, but I also did not think any of the
tracks were sub-par. If I remembered correctly it chimed in at under 25
mins. But I still cant help but listen to it over and over again.
-O.S.T.-Deflect-LP-Emanate
I have been a big fan of all the emanate releases thus far,
and this full lenght from O.S.T. does not dissapoint. Varied tracks from
start to finish. Very involving, and one of the handful of releases this
year that actually makes you "listen" to every second of the tracks.
-Felix Kubin-Jane B Drowns With the Horses-10"-Diskono
Once again, another camp that I have not been dissapointed in. A
great mix of noise and experimentia(is that even a word). Fits right in
with the rest of the Diskono unit.
Multicast-Sympathen/Calisto(Solar Sailor)-7"-Obliq
After getting listening to the Feather Journal release on Obliq I
was highly intrigued by Multicast. I found it to be very fresh and new.
And this 7" doesnt differ in any way. The packaging is very original and
heck was worth the price alone, plus you get 2 terrific tracks. I am
already looking for both the next release on Obliq and the next release
by Multicast.
Kid 606/LSR-European Tour Single-7"-555
The LSR side is unbelievable!!!!!!! Nothing much I like more than
hearing songs fuked up!! I am all about the recreating or reinventing,
or just plain fuking with other peoples songs. And on another note, for
all the slagging that was going on about the Falco release on V/VM
Test...you are either a V/VM fan or your not, and that release is in my
top 5 of V/VM. On to Kid606. Boy am I glad he started leaving those
fractured noise breaks alone, and moved into the oh so "intelligent"
area of the "DM". His last 4-5 releases have all been top notch,
especially the Attitude 7" on V/VM!! Amen to Kid606 and NWA!!!!
ALSO...his split with Remote Viewer. The art is terrific and the vinyl
is terrific, but I found the Remote Viewer track to be somewhat
lackluster.
On to the next segment...Live shows...Just where are they at?? Seems
like a few hotbeds in the US for IDM gatherings but damnit, I want more
in BMORE!!! And speaking of, coming up on the 10th here in Bmore at an
excellent outdoor venue, we have MixmasterMorris, De Rigueur, Bmores own
LoveGrove and a few others alongside VJ's Kaboom and Monster Zero out on
a pier that extends 150ft. out over the water. You can find more info at

And finally a little self-promotion. You can listen to my recent CD at
