Here's my latest used bin finds:
1. "Gorgeous" 808 State. Why would anyone give this up? A real microcosm of
the early 90's.
2. Like a Tim -- what a video game possessed by demons of hell sounds like.
80's new wave meets evil computerized sound abuse. Brought to you by
the gapper/snipper..
3. Julie Andrews sings with Irwin Kostal and His Orchestra. From
the St. Vincent Benet in Dubuque Iowa. This is a pre-Sound of Music LP
of her singing with a lush orchestra. Ever since Mary Poppins I've been
down with Julie, and this is her without the Disney saccharine added in.
4. "The Lady from Philedelphia" -- the original soundtrack from an
episode of "See It Now" about Marian Anderson, who in my opinion may
have been one of the most brilliant singers of the 20th Century. This
is a time capsule from 1958 that I wonder if ANYONE has heard in years.,
People are getting weird about Y2K. If the power stays on, I have the
technology -- analogue all the way.
