this album (bionaut, friends) is simply AMAZING. easily as great, i think (on first listen, given) as "lush life electronica." what's odd is that there's so much GUITAR here! one track almost sounds like sonic youth vs. koln allstars. and the "student bashing on mars" track is simply sublime. anyone who thinks minimal techno has some good ideas but is too dull, repetetive, what have you: this is the link between "IDM" (in its truest, even naive, sense) and minimal techno. acquire and devour. p

I agree with Philip that Bionaut's Friends cd is excellent but much of it is hardly fresh (in age at least). Bionaut's Friends cd is a mix of new & previously released tracks few new remixes added on. Here are where each of the tracks come from... .
