There are a lot of titles in the "Musique pour l'oreille" series published by Metamkine (FYI: Metamkine is a French distributor, as well as a label and an "improvisation unit" featuring Jerome Noetinger and two video artists). I know a few of them that : Jim O'Rourke's is an early concrete work, partly recorded in France; Luc Ferrari's is an older piece for voice; Dominique Petitgand's is very nice, but I know a few people who don't like it (lots of French speaking on his, so it might not be very interesting if you dont know French); there is a good one by Ralf Wehowsky (RLW) as well as by Bernard Gunther. Among others that I haven't heard you have Jerome Noetinger, Michel Chion, Xavier Garcia (I think), and tons that I don't know. There are a few duds though. The series is being revived and some new titles should be coming in soon, such as turntablist Erik M and Guillaume Beauron (who's only 18 and makes incredible electro-acoustic stuff). As for foreign availability, I have no idea, but you can try emailing metamkine@compuserve.org. Julien
