I finally picked up Cathars' Amorpheus cd on Miau Miau International, and i have to admit that this is the type of relaxed electronic debris my ears need to hear more of. A peculiar mix between Twine, Oval, and Pansonic, but veering in a completely isolated section of experimentalism. Abstract, yet full of ambient undertones and strange beeps and whirls with subtle cd-skipping here and there. Cathars' atmospheric musical direction will put your mind at ease, while Amorpheus feels like a soothing brain massage. Excellent reading music by the way.. Is there anything else along these lines that i should look into? Lance, i know you're there! Perhaps their website would be a start.. There's an extra fourteen and a half minutes on this cd that follows track ten. I'm assuming every release contains this (bonus?) track. Kristian Peters: Xmas cdep (K-RAA-K) . Neina: Formed Verse cd (Mille Plateaux) . A.F.R.I. Studios: Schwellwert cdep (BMB Lab) . Shuttle358: optimal cd (12k) . Microstoria: snd cd (Thrill Jockey/Mille Plateaux) . Microstoria: init ding cd (Thrill Jockey/A-Musik) . Solutore of Stareau - disk 1 (unreleased cdr-set) . The Disc cds on Vinyl Comm also fit... . Here is the release info: . for friends cdr/tom4/xmas 1998 tracklisting 1 - novisad - weich 2 - kristian peters - feld 3 - kristian peters - deconstruction 4 - kristian peters - winter 5 - novisad - einoede (wilderness) cartonsleeve cover with 100s of handsticked stickers by tom steinle limited to 30 copies (not for sale) © tom recordings 1998-1999 all tracks can be heard in RA on the excellent Tom label website at: www.tomlab.de Go in the "over.info.kill" tab and click "releases." -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
