Great to see you in S.F. Peter. The only "digital" Black Metal that I have come across has been, primarily, from the True Black Metal artists who have been in the scene since the beginning. Thorns and Emperor put out a collab/split covering and dissecting each others' tunes with Cubase. Much better than Thorns' other solo work. I suspect we will see more musica digitalis from him since a laptop is easier to operate in prison than a Strat. Dodheimsgard and Satyricon's new cd's are hard drive mayhem. The short time I've spent with them has blown me away. I think the new direction is interesting and unique, but hasn't found its voice yet. I think in the near future we're going to see another wave of crossover that will send the heshers racing to Computown. I find it interesting that in the past, metal bands that incorporated synths and obvious high production standards were seen to be False and now the most incontrovertibly True metal "warriors" are embracing the new music tech. And taking it to unpredictable extremes, I'd like to opine. We need no longer wait for Mortiis, his faux foam nose and Spock ears or Burzum and his nazi rants to turn the Black Metal sounds toward the p.c. ~Marc Kate ~~mkate@listen.com ~~~http://www.listen.com

Let's not forget deathcore and the berzerker, who, along with Disciples of Belial brough black metal vocals to gabber. Whoops, did I mention gabber? Silly stupid me. -The Objector

You mean Fuckhead. The album is called something like The Male Comedy. Dave Segal Managing Editor/Alternative Press Reviews/BPM/Reissue Redux/Origins Of Cool Secret Ions on WCSB Thursdays 9-11PM EST www.wcsb.org

just wanted to add one suggestion to this dying thread. i'd check out dissecting table if you're looking for something that is somehow involved with death metal but also has an electronic influence. it's a pretty equal mix of industrial, metal - mostly through the crazy death metal voice, noise, and dark ambient. and they have one of my favorite song titles ever - "least mean squared algorithm for personality alteration". they certainly know how to emphasize the mean... human breeding is my favorite release of theirs... ethan ps - the fuckhead album is pretty rad too.
