Maybe, but grunge is dead, something that PJ has yet to fully understand. Electronic music on the other hand is always expanding its limits, and afx & uziq are still active. Ok, it's probably just namedropping (like John B said), but you can still get the point -- and you would probably say the same thing when a "rock" person asks you the question "What do you listen to?", as I'm sure you won't start by saying that you listen to the latest IDMlist remix chain, the guy couldn't even relate to what you're saying. And to get back on the Flaming Lips subject, at least I think Wayne Coyne is using electronic sounds in a good way (imo), as opposed to the Scorpions. Sebastien === Sebastien Dalphond, B. Soft. That's why I usually answer, "Music." Which of course leads people to think I'm being rude.

I can't even say that anymore, because some people think that means I'm a Paradinas fan.... :) And his stuff has sucked parched donkey balls for what seems like forever. Aaron np: The Wiseguys "The Antidote" (Ultra) onnext: Basement Jaxx "Remedy" (Astralwerks) onafter: The Cure... etc. etc.

Even though this doesn't really deserve being dignified with a reply, I can't help myself ;) Just so that people realise what Aaron says is a matter of opinion (as if you wouldn't), I should point out that _I_ on the other hand believe that most of Mike Paradinas' work for ever (other than most Jake Slazenger and Gary Moscheles, and some of the other stuff) is in my opinion some of the best idm released. In particular I think the Tusken Raiders 'Bantha Trax Vol 2' 12" is brilliant, as is the Kid Spatula track on the recent split 12" with Jega. Um, the main reason I had to write this was because the original post is so strongly worded. No diss to anyone, I just wanted to put forward another point of view. Neither can I, I agree that the nature of the post was pretty juevenile. _I_ on the

I agree completely and I only mention this because I see so much Paradinas slagging on this list and also on the Warpnet bulletin board. It's odd to me because he is essentially an IDM "star" (if there is such a thing) and has made some of the most solid electronic music I've ever heard; think of the sheer volume as well! Kinda makes me feel sorry for him because he mentioned in an interview awhile back that he has ..."lost his fanbase in the UK" so he was going to try America. It's downright pitiful! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Bid and sell for free at http://auctions.yahoo.com
