hey.. i think someone asked about the Kirsty Hawkshaw album "O<U>T", and I know I've mentioned this before, but it's really one of my all-time favourite albums. Anywhere. Produced and co-written by Mark Pritchard (who's got a long-term deal with Island Blue just like Tom Middleton now, I think that was mentioned somewhere..), it's evocative, beautiful, and listenable infinitely.Came out in 1998 on Coalition. Anyone know how many videos came off the album, btw? I saw a video for "Sci-Clone" at some point that was really rather cool. There's also great photos on the album by the relatively famous Jill Furmanovsky - I think they were taken at famous Cornish beauty spot the Lost Gardens of Heligan, looking at the credits. I also have the two Opus III albums (there were only two, right?) hanging around somewhere - these are interesting, but I wouldn't precisely call them essential. Some great moments, though. Another unmissable Kirsty Hawkshaw moment is off the Orbital-organised tribute "The Girl With The Sun In Her Head", double CD thingie. I only have it on promo so I don't have a lot of info, but her track is credited to Kirsty (Opus III), and I think it's called "Orange". Apart from that Universal Language 12-inch someone mentioned, anyone got a fuller discography? regards, h0l. ps - talking of beautiful female-fronted electronica, try http://www.aisth.com - and download "Box". A Finnish duo with links to the underground demo-scene, unbelievably, these guys are still unsigned. I'd do it myself if I thought I could do them justice. Great art/photos on the site, too.

Yeah, it's great stuff. A few don't-quite-work tracks, but mostly excellent.

Sci-Clone and Leafy Lane.

I've got the full UK release, which is actually called "Sally's Photographic Memory". The track "Orange" is also on the UK release of "O<U>T" (final track). -- Mark Stevens http://www.headspin.clara.net/
