Hey Hess, It's great to see L'usine mentioned on IDM recently. I've had his music for almost 1/2 a year now (advance CD-R:). I've also had a few oportunities to open as the DJ before he's performed live. Not only does Jeff write some incredible melodic music, something IDM community can use a lot more of lately, he also doesn't perform from a laptop. Instead he chooses to lug all the gear around and do it the "old" fashion way. Although, the nite his rack of fell off the table smack into the ground, he did consider buying a laptop. Anyhow, this is a solid release, one my girlfriend said "This music is good for...." I guess that pretty much describes the melodious content! gilly ps: I may be incorrect, but Jeff (L'usine) may have some material comming out on pitchcadet in the future. np: Innerzone Orchestra- Programmed -- ---/////:protest protesters]]]]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - anonymous "dj's are amongst the fatal errors of the 90's category"- Atom Heart

haha! when jeff lived in austin he did a PA that saw his equipment kissing floor not once but twice. . .for me it wouldn't be a l'usine performance without watching jeff wrestle with many pieces of gear, gravity, comedic karma, etc. sometimes it seemed like he was trying to get a laugh out of people by letting the CV/MIDI box hit the floor repeatedly. . .you could almost hear the hangdog trombone: wah-wah-WAHHHH. . . big up tha l'usine, the master of live techno PA physical comedy! -jeff -------------- 1642 try 621 --------------
