first off, i gotta say i like it. more every time i listen to it. was a bit disappointed at first cos i was hoping for more "not enuf" styles, but the snap crackle and popping and the funky drumming is getting to me. boring? i don't think so. if this be minimalist fusion jazz noodles, give me more, they're tasty. subtle? i don't know if that's the right word. maybe, but if so at first, it's soon hardly subtle anymore at all. to me most of all it sounds like someone spent a whole lot of time compositing these tracks, but they must have had a lot of fun doing so. i'd be extremely chuffed to produce a record like this. j
