"Math rock" is just another contrived term critics use to slot (and usually
dismiss) musical efforts. Think about it. The terms
"space-kraut-art-prog-math-post-out rock" do not necessarily suggest a
musical style but evoke specific groups. If you dislike a group associated
with one of these genresl, you may indeed dismiss others who were tagged
with the label. Of course, they usually have nothing to do with each other.
