happened to me too... i was interested in a song I heard on the radio (by siliconvortex on the contaminated by technique compilation) ... i emailed the lable's website, and he wrote back a couple of times saying that that it was his track, and he'd send me a copy if i sent a check. i sent a check (on 11/14/98) i wait. i email (12/3/98). i wait, i don't like to rush people. i see that little miss trinitron is still posting to the idm list. i email (2/5/99). no reply. it wasn't a ton of money, and i never checked to see if the check was cashed, but it was still dissapointed, and i still felt burned. oh well. that's my story. maybe SOMEDAY my cd will come (now that i've moved to a new address!) tim

hi tim, no, the check wasn't cashed. it would have cost more to cash the check than what it was worth. i'm afraid i don't have the emails (due to losing my archive, which was also one of the reasons for these records being delayed, ALL of which incidentally, are now on their way to their owners) but i'm pretty sure i asked you for cash.. <waves>
