charlie james et all, clearly you can't deny the fact that sinead (thomas dolby & coldcut for that matter) are clearly trying to resurect their shitty careers by being the first to get a single out to the public that will benefit a **VERY** worthy cause. i don't deny that what they are doing is a good thing, trying to raise money for a situation that is clearly horrible, but i am afraid they are doing it partially to get some attention for themeselves at the same time, which leads me to assume they are also in it to milk something which benefits their cause. come on, coldcut basically sucks these days, he's an old fart trying to play young & cool, dolby, well geez headspace (come on, i guess he convinced bochum welt to do some stuff, but dolby might as well be dead, surely his output would be higher quality if he was) and sinead, well after recently loosing custody of her child (and spitting in the judge & father of her childs face) needs something to keep herself busy. what i am getting at is that there are 3 boring fucks who are trying to come off all cool like they are doing something for this situation, when in fact they are just interested in their own careers more. the publicity they will get from this project is going to be priceless, they couldn't afford to get the press they are going to get. if they cared they would've tried to get some BIG names who are actually doing good stuff these days. why anybody would attempt to defend sinead is beyond me, let alone dolby or coldcut. i respect these folks for trying to help out, but i question there reasons (and so should all). there are plenty of ways to raise money, donations for one. i would sooner make a donation to the red cross, then buy some stinking single consisting of these old fucks. not to mention that more money is wasted packaging what will surely be a horrible track in plastic & paper, than simply making a donation to a reputable organization. i am sure this single will have all sorts of record label names splashed all over it (more publicity, more milking). anyone who is satisfied with recent coldcut releases please speak up, i have no problem being wrong, it's just that the ninja tune guys are the biggest fakes ever. at one point they were attempting to be innovative and barely scratching the surface, now they're just caricatures of themselves, and man does ninja tune suck. the few releases that are decent (these days) are from folks they have surely licensed. give me a break, i really hope the ninja tune show that was posted to be taking place in nyc is a HUGE failure. the lineup has a few decent folks but with artists like coldcut & spooky taking part, expect at least some horrible music. it all boils down to a bunch of suckers trying to get popular by aligning themselves with more suckers so they can be considered cool. don't believe they hype. i am full of shit, as is 99% of this list. sorry to intrude. don't take me too seriously. if i lived on the east coast i'd picket out front of wherever the ninja show is being put on at, simply out of respect to the poor people who are suffering at the expense of ninja tune & the rest of thes loosers trying to raise some money for them (and in return selling some god awful records.) there are more ways than one to raise money, and those who make explicitly noticeable that they are trying to raise money for a "good" cause (and i agree this is a great cause) should be questioned. there are levels of giving, and one of the lowest forms is making it known where the money is going, and by who is giving it. the highest form is when it is not intentional, and the giver doesn't know where the money is necessarily going to. at least a famous writer once came up with this list of levels. it gets more in depth, but i have clearly written toooooooo much. i'm going to start my campaign up for president, this IS the hulk hogan that can bodyslam this list with his pinky toe, not some fake. unsubscribing in a little bit, don't worry. the hulkster aka hollywood _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Man, you're just BEGGING for an ass-kicking, aren't you?

I ain't no Ninja expert, but I am a big fan... last thing I recall being licensed is East Flatbush Project, which I loved anyway... the fact that I bought this domestically (Canada) for like $9 cheaper than the Chocolate Industries version was a big bonus. Recent releases from Funki Porcini, Herbaliser, Roots Manuva (Big Dada), Neotropic (N-Tone) and others are just totally amazing to me. I don't think any of them are "licensed" from other labels... As for the Sinead/Coldcut thing... there's no sense in coming down on Ninja Tune as a whole just cuz Coldcut decided to collaborate with an awful singer like her. :)

My 2 cents about live shows which has very little to do with the above: I've only been to a few live concerts in my life, but The Herbaliser's performance last year in Toronto is definitely at the top of my list. I know I seem like a real Ninja "mark" (there, i used a wrestling term, Mr. Hogan :) but they make some damn fine music. Personally, I'd pay to see you and Ninja Phil in a strap match, as was suggested. But maybe we could turn it into a ladder match with barbed-wire replacing the ring ropes. Just dreaming...

what a joke. If he were the real Hulk Hogan he could never criticize someone for trying to jumpstart their career - that's what he's been trying to do from the start. And who cares why, how, or who is involved if it is for such a worthy cause? I am sure sinead does not need to jumpstart her career based on a war- she has more morals than that- has she released an album that has bombed?? no - she has chosen not to release any for a while, which doesn't mean career loss, but time to herself. you are a fool for writing that- maybe not one day to day, but today you are. i don't even want to give you the respect of expending more energy to write any further. ..chesterblaze signing off.. €-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€ ...stay linked... Please help me people. I've been dissed by a raving lunatic named "Hulk Hogan", who refers to himself as "The Hulkster". What a pathetic egomaniac. I am 45 years old and I'm just getting into this elctronic music production thing, and if the hulkster thinks he's in better shape than this old geezer, he'd better stay in Hollywood, where his dreamworld can exist. What a fucking bully. If never heard such hateful, judgemental cynicism. If this guy thinks typing a lot of words makes him smart or insightful, he's on his own. The sooner the hulkster is off the list, the better. Go kick some ass idiot. Charlie James Hulk Hogan wrote:

I propose to stop this thread as it appears clear that too many people on the list have at least an interest in what Ninja guys produce. Even those who do not have such interest seem to be quiet about that. So let's just ignore this guy or whoever it is... Sorry for not being productive but flame threads make me crazy especially when they are unilateral against someone too stupid to hide his rubbish. Alien
