I don't know for sure, but the way I see it is usually if someone doesn't like some music, it's because they don't understand it or aren't noticing the important bits or something. I've just got something against saying 'this music is rubbish' because how do I know what the artist was trying to say?

Fair play. Maybe Jega is quite lacking in some areas. Certainly I've thought quite a few times how his drum programming is very regular and predictable. Take care -Ed np: Mark van Hoen - Real Love (god I love this track!)

that's a rather silly idea. you would aruge that i am missing the subtle mastery of the backstreet boys, then? not all idm (or music in general) is as meaningful, deep, or intelligent as you think. most if it simply "sounds good." - wells oliver / s0ewoliv@titan.vcu.edu

What a crock of shit!! I've been listening to techno since 1989 and I STILL comb through the records about once a week. I truly believe the more music you hear (and I am speaking in regards to electronic music), the more it takes to impress you. If you are pretty knowledgeable, then you aren't going to be as easily impressed as someone who is new to this style of music. Maybe you are right, perhaps mediocrity isn't my wavelength.

Who fucking cares what the artist is trying to say? I don't sit and listen to music wondering if the musician was sexually aroused, depressed, or whatever. I listen to it for what it does for me, not the creator.

The whole drill n bass thing is pretty tired. And alot of the drum n bass that is coming out it way way better than Spectrum. I look forward to hearing new stuff from him, hopefully it will be better. Cheers _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
