Wow that is going to be a great show! Lex has always gotten good press on this list but you should be equally as excited to see Lilienthal. I recently got a preview of his new cd for the emanate label and it's unbelieveably good - 13 tracks of quirky melodic electronica that will seriously tickle the fancy of this list. An early contender for idm album of the year. I was also able to hear the upcoming if.then.else cd. It is also a real gem. Nine tracks of sublime melodic electronica that warmly envelop you

not in the least. i was going to go to florida (have fun to any kids going!) for the wmc.. but cannot afford it. i need to get out of orange county, so i figured id go see this gal who stole my heart many years ago. she lives in SF, so i was curious about happenings.. sure enough, my friend alex is playing! which is pretty cool. so i will be there i think.. (not that this is important to anyone, but i want to clear my ass and say that i wasnt trying to make a cheap plug :) OH.. okay: the new s&w/tony child 7" is REALLY REALLY good. i will agree with bill in saying that the anthony child track sounds like scanner -- but its like the scanner material i like.. ambient, dark, cold... and there isnt enough quality stuff like that out there, so im glad it sounds like that. chris
