I highly recommend it. Its quirky, spacey dub, trip-hop and electronics with chirpy melodies. Its more Howie B than Sly and Robbie. Gooooood stuff.

Irene: IMO, it's quite good. as the title says, very "stripped" down. it ain't drum and bass like we know it, more like dub 2000. there's a short review and a track in RA in the feb 99 electronics Report on cognition audioworks: http://www.globalserve.net/~cognition Andrew :) Irene McC wrote:

I have heard the sly n' robbie album with howie b. Its mighty fine. i would recommend it to anyone who has been sorely dissappointed with the previous crap that has tried to blend reggae and jungle. peace. ..chesterblaze signing off.. €-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€-€ ...stay linked... With reference to that, the new Dr. Israel record on Mutant Sound System isn't perfect, but has some seriously beautiful moments of soulful dub jungle grooves... definitely worth checking out. aaron

Well, this is one of the bizarrest statements I've heard in while, considering the huge influence reggae/dub/ragga has on virtually all jungle. A tasty blend of milk and erm, chocolate milkshakes, anyone? CheersAndrewC.
