Predictable shock-jock fodder by the sounds of it. Although it does sound bloody hilarious.

It's the sequel to 'Come to Daddy'. Now it's basically 'Come to Puff Daddy'. It's got da west-side vibe... Sorry, west *coast* vibe... I got some kind of MP3 of it, which is the same tune as was later played on Vibert's show. I got it from 'Tampax Twin's website. It's a 1.4mb download, about 6 minutes long. Do a websearch for 'Tampax Twin homepage'. Or wait till its' release in March - sorry, July - sorry, September, sorry, Easter 2002. It seems to be a first in one respect: How many artists sample their own music in any major way? You can hear the piano from 'On' in the background, and apparently the choral voicey bits are from another record. In fact, it's not very 'IDM' at all, really...

Sorry, but in this case you only get the cuddly toy. IE, no dishwasher. Because I don't have the URL for the 'In the Mix' page, but I imagine it's still on the web. Anyway, why listen to an hour of boring techno when you can listen to 6 minutes of west-side, west-coast vibe. ;-) Jeremy. PS. In giving this info on where to download the music, I take no responsibility for any e-mails received in the middle of the night: "Just stop ripping off our ****ing unreleased music, okay?"

I write: Well I don't know if this counts but Public Enemy were sampling themsleves back on Fear of a Black Planet...they sampled from their first record...actually I would say none of the sample fiends we all listen to today would be anywhere if it weren't for the groundbreaking ideas committed by PE and the Bomb Squad. All of the PE albums are ace, but check Fear of a Black Planet for some wicked sampling which was way ahead of its' time... peace Nate

yes....fear of...is the best album ever...anywhere...shame the bomb squad dropped off after that....but making that lp must have taken it out of them....as for artists sampling themselves, a lot of hip-hop artist have done and continue to do so, particularly people like EPMD , Gangstarr (and other Premier productions), Show & AG, Ultramags etc..in fact in hip-hop its par for the course to sample (or even *scratch*) your old material to make something new...
