Ed Rush / Optical's Wormhole 5x12" is out now. The CD should be out before Jan. The album is the first from Optical's Virus label and features tracks from Optical, Optical with Ed Rush, and Optical with Ed Rush and Fierce aka Fortran.

Ed Rush and Optical had a 6 hour stopover here in LA yesterday and I picked them up and took them to lunch, along with Nico, who is now living here in Hollywood for the winter. I asked Matt about the CD and he said mid to late January. It's going to be a two CD affair, with the second being a live mix by himself and Ed Rush. I forgot to ask if the first cd will include the ultra nasty 'life-crisis' rmx by Andy C or the Matrix rmx of 'Medicine' that were on that limited lp sampler that came out at the end of October. It was also my pleasure to hear a handful of new plates they cut before leaving for their Australia/New Zealand tour a few weeks ago. Bacteria and Gas Mask were the only two I remember the names of, and yes sir, they were sick! In related news, Optical's moved his studio into the No U turn complex in Acton. I'm not a 100% but I think the first release on No U Turn/Saigon for '99 might be a completely wicked optical remix of rymetyme's 'We Enter'. When I get a chance, I'll post a few reviews for all the jungle heads out there, including current and upcoming releases coming from the whole NUT crew. Peace out, brock out.
