***Low Res is Danny Zelonky. He has released material as Low Res on Plug
Research, Sublime, and Metroplex. His newest Low Res is the brilliant
"Approximate Love Boat" album on Plug Research. He also records as Crank.
Crank material has been featured on Plug Research and Dimitri Fergadis'
Phthalo label. His latest Crank is a full length on Phthalo. Mannequin
Lung is Allen Avanessian. He operates the Plug Research label with Joe
Babylon. Joe and Allen have recorded as R.E.A.L.M. Mannequin Lung and Low
Res record together as Trash Aesthetic. The most recent Trash Aesthetic is
their production on Shadow Huntaz "DJ Screams Medic/Nut Up" 12", the last
Plug Research release before Low Res' album. Zelonky has also worked with
Juan Atkins in the past and recently: two tracks they collaborated on are
scheduled to be on Atkins' upcoming Model 500 "Mind And Body" album for R &
S, one of which is the title track. The Model 500 album has been delayed
many times and the tracklisting may change, though; so no word on when that
will be out and what exactly will be on it (collaborations with Robert Hood
and Mike Banks were also done). Material on Crank and Plug Research and
from the above artists is all highly recommended. You can hear material
