The core membership of Repeat is Mark Broom & Dave Hill. Ed & Andy (aka Plaid) are part-time Repeat members joining in and/or lending a hand to most of the Repeat releases. Here is a little Repeat discog... Releases: . Repeat: Game Shows 12" (GPR) . Repeat: Lilt A 12? (A13) . Repeat: Repeats cd/2x12" (A13) . Repeat: Nine Open 12? (Pure Plastic) . Mark Broom/Midst of Tumult/Repeat: v/a 12? (A13) . Repeat/Midnight Funk Assoc/Mark Broom: v/a 12" (Pure Plastic) . There's also a repeat track on a comp 2xcd on Ninebar. And don't forget the two ifach eps that are done by the full Repeat cast: . Eco Tourist: magelonic/penguins12" (Ifach) . Isn't Eco Turist also by Peter Ford along with full Repeat cast ? Those two tracks are just brilliant... cannot stop playing em. Sort of Vulva/Yoni style, but with melodic touch of Plaid... bye rob

The South of Market ep. on Reflective definitely indicates that - from memory, writing credits for the Repeat tracks are Broom, Handley Turner. However, I remember getting that ep and being surprised. The sleeve of 'Repeats' did give me the impression that it was Mark Broom's project, especially with the thanks. I remember on this list when 'Repeats' came out there was a lot of discussion about what the real deal is/was. I may be completely wrong on this, but I think that Ed and Andy's involvement with Repeat was limited to possibly that release and some production work. brap@sonic.net icq_12645306 coming sooner than later: sfwd0004 - pre-mil·len·ni·um soundscapes 12" chris g. 1547 boston court #7, santa rosa, ca 95405 http://www.sonic.net/~brap/

Yep, J.Sharp takes the place of Mark Broom on "soon" though.

Hmm, I got lumped with a black sleeve... I've been lurking around here for about a year now and can't remember the "Lilta ep" by repeat ever getting a mention. I think that one is sheer class. The stasis mix is my fave on it. Seeya, John

I agree that the Lilt A ep is outstanding. But the reason you probably haven't heard much about it is because it was released in limited quantitles back in early 95 on the A13 label. For those who don't have it, it contains three mixes of Lilt A by Stasis, Phenomyna and an original album version. For more of this style of abstract techno you should check the early releases on the Pure Plastic, Unexplored Beats, Rewired, Ifach and Trelik labels. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states
