I'd kind of forgotten about this and then it occurred to me that I hadn't
seen this mentioned on idm..
..Digidesign are giving away full cd copies (with on-disc documentation) of
pro-tools 3.4 for free from their website. The new pro-tools software is
now up to version 4.1 and supports 24 bit encoding etc etc but to give away
for absolutely nothing the earlier version seems a very cool thing to do
indeed. I got my copy through the door in the UK this morning (I didn't
even have to pay for postage!) and it's left me beaming from ear to ear :-)
