What's the best way to record tracks off vinyl? Should I use a computer and just dump it to a CD, or should I dump it to MD? What way do you prefer? I'm asking because I want to record some tracks off vinyl, and I need the best way to save it. Thanks.

well.. how many people have md players at the moment? not many! and also, if you go the computer/cdr route, you can de-click your vinyl before writing it to cd. cdr is a way better choice if you want to spend the time to get a better finished product. <waves> Subconscious Geography http://www.sub-con-geo.demon.co.uk Records For Sale http://www.sub-con-geo.demon.co.uk/sale CDR Traders' Outpost http://www.sub-con-geo.demon.co.uk/cdr

I have an MD portable recorder, and I think its the coolest thing since sliced bread! You can rerecord over and over, and delete tracks off the MD like a file from a floppy disk...the MD recorder I have can also record in mono and allow you to store up to 148 minutes total on one disk. The MD is definitely superior to tapes and I prefer this to CDs, cuz i think CDs are big and ugly...and skip too much. -daniel.
