they didn't do the graphics for red bull, red bull payed for ads in the game, the ads were then placed in the game by psygnosis (the manufacturer of wipe out) DR also has a book in the works that was supposed to come out about half a year ago, but they're slow. DR has designed a swatch watch (one of their best works so far), called london club. they've done many club flyers, t-shirts for shop33, NYSUSHI, WiPeOut, WIPEOUT XL. as for non idm artists, they did over 30 covers and inserts for pop will eat itself, they designed the pulp (britpop) logo, they do most of supergrasses typography work, some wedding present, some really really old and awful scorpion rising covers. they've been in varios graphic design books such as: localizer 1.0, the graphic beat:london/tokyo, t-shirt print designs and logos, techno style, they've been featured in magazines like raygun and emigre (good luck trying to find the emigre issue, last i saw it was being auctioned off for over 120 dollars). also DR did a nike ad that had major placements in rolling stone magazine. and a load of stuff i can't think of right now. -kiya i am a copier. we are not all copiers.

this watch is basically a mini blech poster inside a watch face. Cute, but the novelty wears off after while IMHO.

Wow. I didn't realize this. Besides being an excellent type/graphic designer in her own right, my roomate is also a tDR fan , and has all the stuff mentioned above, including the Emigre issue, which I look at all the time (the interview/their take on graphic design culture is very funny!) I should tell her the price! Nate

Try two years. Or more. I'm beginning to believe it will never see the light of day.

It's quite a bit busier than a Blech poster. You can view it at: http://www.swatchlab.com/catalog/gent/l_watch5.html (The scan is a little too bright, but you get the idea.) I like it a lot. I get frequent comments on it. It also has a "I (heart) my DR" logo at the end of the strap. They also did all the pre-"Pomme Fritz" Orb releases. Glad I got my DR Emigre when it was $7.95! Sorry ... but the book is 4 years late now. How do I know? Well, I have a copy of the original cover from the book, thanks to Michael @ DR. The book was (and may still be) called: New And Used - The World Of Designers Republic The cover is basically a mixture of their PWEI work, and the cover to the Joey Beltram single on Warp. (even a bit of their early design aesthetic, Age Of Chance era covers) It was to be priced £33.95, and it was to cover their work from 1986-1994. They were planning to include some multimedia content and also a collection of some of their fonts & 'clipart'. Now if they'd only get off their asses and put the damn thing out. I'd fully expected that they'd at least release it on their 10th anniversary. If anyone else has been checking their website, though, you fully understand how pathetically slow they are. : ) Ian

actually it has absolutely nothing to do with their blech work. and the face of the watch isn't the only place where the art is, it's all over the front of the straps, AND on the back of the straps, and it comes with a map of london with all of the places DR think you should go marked, all designed by DR. i think that the design of the watch and the typography that appears on the front side of the band is some of the best of seen by DR, let alone a watch. there is also a limited edition version of the watch that comes with a tie (yes, a shirt tie) with the same kind of DR work, it was only available at the flagship store in tokyo. get the watch it's worth it.

well that's the price for a sealed mint copy, not a copy that's been opened and looked through, but still it's nice to know much it's worth. by far the best issue of emigre i've read. problems clearing drum counter. on 561/581, check memory address 304026 via Memory Write in test mode. When bit one is set to 1, the counter cannot be cleared. Reset to 0. On 541, the memory address is FF852E. Change data from 00 to 20, proceed to set developer bias from there. -kiya i am a copier. we are not all copiers.
