The issue is not who owns bootleg recordings. The issue is the blatant selling & trading to bootlegs on the IDM list. It is CLEARLY STATED in the IDM list policy that such behavior is prohibited: "The IDM List is *NOT* a forum for trading illegal copies, mp3's, bootlegs, or rare out of print material. Sorry but the last line in your message is about you.... Who gives a fuck on who owns what? Just stay off the list with all this sale&trade crap especially mentioning cdrs. I own more than hundred cdrs but for me that's ok as I live in a country where copyright laws does not function. But most of you live in countries where illegal copying of musical material is a crime. Just do not pose your retarded view to the people who support musicians. I think moderation is just what this list needs. As it used to be in FIDOnet as someone disobeys the rules of the list he gets penalty (+), if he persists in it and he gets more than three (+)s he should be extradicted (fucked off) from the list. Am I wrong to put the blame for this list's incredibly horrendous last month on Rolling Stone? I don't know. Maybe we should put it on ourselves for just talking and talking and talking and talking about whether bootlegging is wrong, censorship of morons is wrong, etc. etc. etc. None of that has a real place here, on a list that is a forum for musical discussion. Instead of just talking, somebody take the moderator position right now, any off-topic mails from anyone and any mails that don't contribute to the discussion, keep them off the list.
