sorry if thais has already appeard on the list--been having e-mail woes: Picked up the new DC cd-single "Romario". Hmmm...really quite a letdown. I own only one other Depth Charge release (Nine Deadly Venoms), which was released in what..'92 or was it '94, so I don't know what his more recent stuff sounds like, but Romario isn't much of a progreesion from that release. For the most part, Romario is a feeble rehash of "Goal" off 9DV. That's not to say it isn't a new track. Probably 90% of this track is new, but some signature samples from 9DV pop-up annoyingly and the new vocal samples (soccer/futebol commentators etc.) are nothing special. Ho-hum. Does anyone know if this is from a forthcoming album. Also, how does it compare to Alexander's Dark Band (J. Saul Kane's most recent incarnation)? Matt

This one is in honour of World Cup ´98, J Saul Kane being a huge football (soccer for ya Yanks) fan. Haven't heard it myself though, so I can't tell...
