..just wanted to "chime" in here.. (bahahahaha..) I totally agree, orbital was what shoved me into this arena of music.. even though I bought 'I care because you do..' before any Orbital albums, after absorbing Insides and Orbital 2, I appreciated it a whole lot more, which led to lots of other great purchases.. Maybe because they are so easy to get into, they're a perfect 'introduction to IDM' group. I dunno.. but I hope the new album arrives soon.. and I hope it's better than that tranquilizer track. Bah. :/ on an unrelated note, the new Amon Tobin is top notch. Better than Bricolage, even. noah

Ah, yes! I, too, remember those HALCYON days of the early nineties, 'round the time of DESERT STORM, when popular music left me feeling SEMI-DETACHED, and I was wondering if there was any better music OUT THERE SOMEWHERE. I remember the Hartnolls' music having a tremendous IMPACT on my record buying habits, for now I had a new CHOICE in the realm of music. Since then, I've been ATTACHED to idm, with its LUSH diversity of styles and influences, and with Orbital, the albums are widely available, so I don't have to go searching from here to BELFAST to find them. Yep, when I've got nothing better to do on a MONDAY 'round MIDNIGHT, and I'm sitting in front of THE BOX writing inane posts, there's nothing better than spending QUALITY SECONDS listening to Orbital, just to REMIND myself of the good old days... How TIMES FLY! ...sorry
