Yes. That is the album from the Plug Research artist Phthalocynine on his own domestic Phthalo label. It was released in the fall of 97. Here is the Recoreview (pt 17) of it originally posted on October 7, 1998: . Phthalocyanine: Navy Warship CD (Phtalo) Very experimental techno here from Plug Research artist Phthalocyanine on this, his first full-length. Ten tracks of disjointed polyrhythms, metallic noises, unsettling synth lines and distorted loops. The end result sounds something like a collaboration between polygon window, mu-ziq, beautyon and low res but with a flavor and style that is distinctly Phtalocyanine. An engaging listening experience. 8/10 Phthalocynine also did a remix on the recent Vapourspace remix 3x12" on Mark's Knob label. Phthalocynine has more stuff coming out soon of some highly respected labels but that's all i can say now. I do recommend the Navy Warships cd if you're into highly experimental & clanky idm. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

This pretty much covers it. He just played on my show last week and it was intense. He's got some new remixes coming out and he'll be featured on an upcoming KUCI benefit CD, entitled "Loraine". He also has a new project with Low Res called "Dean and Jerry's M.V.F.S.", and I don't think I'm allowed to tell anyone what MVFS stands for. He's a good guy that puts out some fucked up stuff, but I've heard him say some bad things about Taco Mesa... On Tue, 28 Apr 1998, Lance C. McGannon wrote:

good, crunchy, noisey, odd beats, good luck on dancing, "very experimental room".. somewhere between merzbow and a super insane but intelligent drum machine (or two). seriously, its really a good release, and quite hard to explain.. very original, and a whole lot of noisey fun.. perhaps its a little similar to some of the stuff on that Trash release.. that "industrialsampegouchcore".. or whatever it was called. check it out. chris.

it's also used in the making of certain brands of cd-r's...which is why they have a green side... np: spk "alocasia metallica" "a dream is worth a thousand pictures, the mouths of lampreys a thousand more..."
