DJ Kaper presents the following "Humour in a Jugular Vein" (c)1958 Madd Magazine. ------------------WARNING----------------------------------------- The following post is not for the 'week of mind' or die-hard MTV fans. This may offend those suffering from 'the sheep effect'. ------------------------------------------------------------------ From http://www.fitshaced.com/3/mtv.html "Every major trend in music flows like diarrhea from the assholes at MTV. The trend junkies hop on whatever bandwagon is around and continue to change shirts along the way. The Marilyn Manson listeners of today were into Green Day last year and Nirvana before that. Where are the stars from last year? Who will remember No Doubt and Gwen Stefani's gyrating navel next year? (No one but the Fitshaced staff, because we have planned to have her head on a pole and sitting in Fitshaced HQ before that time) Who will remember the vinyl pants, silky smooth thighs, and pushed up cleavage of the Spice Girls next year? Just look back on the old covers of MTV lapdog magazine, Rolling Stone, and see how many faces you don't remember and think to yourself, "Where the fuck are those guys now?" Fame is fleeting. Just ask MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Snow, or Motley Crue. It makes no difference what happens to these bands, at least not to MTV. The bands merely serve as dollar signs and are yet another ploy to cash in and sell to the young consumer. And let me tell you one thing about the young consumers. Most of them do not have jobs, therefore guess who's paying the corporate salaries at MTV. Guess who's paying for the MTV Beach House and the centerfold VJs. Not the kids. The young consumers are getting it from mommy and daddy who are getting it up the ass from MTV and corporate America." Check it out: http://www.fitshaced.com/3/mtv.html for the complete article and the take on AMP. Don't fall of your couch.

At the interest of myself not sounding so vain, this kind of rubbish seems to be written up by a adolescent person who secretly loves Hanson and the Spice Girls, but can't come to grips with music being played on TV. Check out what he (she?) has written about the AMP (PS: I didn't know this show aired 200 times a day, maybe I need to flip on MTV at more sane hours of the night): "Amp: Talk about jumping on the bandwagon. As soon as the rave/techno craze kicked into overdrive, you knew it wouldn't be long until MTV came up with a way to cash in on it. Behold, MTV Amp, a techno show that airs about 200 times each day. There are MTV Amp shirts, CDs, and posters. Buy buy buy. Techno. Techno isn't even music. It is just some asshole with a fucking keyboard and a drum machine. Nine Inch Nails aren't even a band. Atari Teenage Riot suck, and Prodigy are just another shallow, Manic Panic band. In a few months when the whole raver phase dies out, no one will remember these shitty "bands", and MTV will have another show dedicated to the latest fad." For being anti-TV (basically the rest of the page) this guy (gal?) watches alot of TV. MTV's upcoming show "Cool books read by top ten musicians" Rusty
