Uh, yeah, because that music is not about making things interesting for
you to listen to at home... it's about crowd participation. Apples and
oranges... who the hell are you to say that people having fun at a club
following these predictable turns are wrong to enjoy it? Maybe
predictability makes it easier for the crowd to participate.
For an example closer to home, I love Autechre, but I gotta admit, Simon
Reynolds has a tiny bit of a point when he compares them to autistics or
idiot-savants (his article in _The Clubcultures Reader_). But he's trying
to valorize a scene where Ae don't fit... again, apples and oranges.
