-gasp- there's vocals!!!! as an oval fan, i was pretty turned off by this at first listen. it's pretty traditionally structured for the likes of them. but it's grown on me - there is a backwards charm to its poppiness (and proppiness), and it's very interesting to see the sound in its early stages. once you get used to the vocals, it's actually a pretty good album.
